Tiradia’s number one goal is to make a difference by empowering consumers to make environmentally conscious decisions, promoting a slow fashion mentality. The earth, animals and people are Tiradia’s top priority. Tiradia’s connection to cork runs deep. Co-founder Joana’s family has been producing cork products for wineries in Portugal since the 1920’s, an endeavor that has been passed down through the generations. Hoping to bring this beneficial material to a wider audience, Joana teamed up with co-founder Amanda, a sustainability and animal-rights advocate, to form Tiradia. All of Tiradia’s manufacturing is done in Portugal, starting with the creation of our cork fabric, all the way to the crafting of our final products. All products are handcrafted, in small batches, by skilled Portuguese artisans, in a small town of Aveiro, keeping production close to the source and benefiting the local economy.
